I built this because young players are expected to be mentally strong, but most are never taught how.

Hey, I’m Grantley, the founder of PlayerScout®.

I grew up in academy football and played until I was 19, when a career-ending ankle injury changed everything for me. I didn’t just lose football. I lost the thing I had built my whole identity around, and honestly, I wasn’t ready for that.

No one had taught me how to handle pressure, setbacks, injury, rejection, or the quiet bit after sport stops feeling good. That stayed with me.

Over the last 20+ years, through sport, player development, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, nutrition, and working with players and families at every level, I kept seeing the same thing. Young players are told to be confident, stay focused, and bounce back, but most are never actually taught how.
